No matter how many years pass
I still have a sharp, stabbing pain in my heart
Ever since that day you grew wings
And flew off to a more peaceful place
My eyes still well up with tears
And my heart still aches
As I've come to realise Chela
That time may heal but it doesn't cure
Cure the hurt and pain I feel inside
And it doesn't cure the void you left behind
Ever since you flew away
To a more peaceful place
However the memories we shared
And the thought that I'll get to see you again
Helps ease my pain
I still look at your photo's
And I expect to see your smiling face,
Hear your voice and bubbly laugh, feel your presence
But yet again I am reminded that you've flown to a more peaceful place
As I am woken up
By the gentle breeze that comforts and reminds me
That you no longer give human hugs, smile and kisses
As you now only give Angelic ones
And this I know cause I feel you gently hug me when the wind blows
And when the sun shines I know you're smiling down on me
And at night as I say my prayers
I am reminded that you're there as every star twinkles and the moon shines
But Chela I just want you to know
That no matter how much time goes by
My heart still aches and longs to see you again
Even though you're in a more peaceful place
The memories keep me going
But it doesn't ever come close to having you near
As you were an amazing Best Friend
Who taught me how to be one
You're unforgettable and each anniversary
I am reminded by how much i miss you

The scripture’s found in Matthew
A vision to behold
At Christmas time, throughout the world
A story often told.
A carpenter name Joseph
A simple-minded man
Engaged to dear sweet Mary
Who promised him her hand.
Now Mary was naive girl
A virgin young and pure
Of all the women in the world
The Lord had chosen her.
To bear the child, Emmanuel
The Saviour, soon to be
A royal king to live and die
That we might be set free.
An angel came to Mary
Gabriel was his name
He came to bring good news of joy
Not fill her life with shame.
She had conceived the child of God
T’was growing in her womb
Though she felt blessed to fill this quest
How could she tell her groom.
To Joseph, she’d been faithful
She’d never gone astray
How he could know the miracle
That happened on that day.
The baby she was bearing
Was sent from up above
The Alpha and Omega
The Price of peace and love.
Her soul was filled with wonder
Yet fear crept in her heart
They’d label her, adulteress
And tear her world apart.
She quietly spoke with Joseph
And gently held her breath
An unwed pregnant woman
Could be stoned and put to death.
Joseph was a righteous man
Though he was in dismay
He planned to press no charges
And quickly walk away.
But Gabriel came to Joseph
One night while in his sleep
He said that Mary spoke the truth
The vows, he then would keep.
Joseph’s heart was full of joy
He knew that they’d been blest
His virgin bride, no longer cried
Their faith had stood the test.
Her feelings for this tiny child
Were strong, like any mother
The life that grew inside of her
Was special, like no other.
She knew this child was worthy
He was the Chosen One
And she had been anointed
To bear the Spirit’s Son.
So on a donkey, Mary rode
The time drawing near
The birth of Jesus Christ was nigh
Upon a midnight clear.
The inns were full, no where to go
To give birth to her son
So in a stable filled with hay
Her labor had begun.
The King of Kings was born to her
She held her baby tight
An eastern star shone brightly
In Bethlehem that night.
While shepherds found their way to Him
And kings from far away
They offered gifts of gold and myrrh
To Him, that sacred day.
Wise men blessed the heavens
His name was richly praised
As angels sang on glory high
The Staff of Life was raised.
The guests were quite enraptured
By such a wondrous sight
All the corners of the earth
Was filled with holy light.
The world and its inhabitants
Would never be the same
For Mary bore the Lamb of God
Christ Jesus was His name.
The Redeemer was delivered
Young Mary held her son
Just as was told in scripture
It is written, it is done!

For the New Year my wish will be
for family and friends to be happy and healthy,
I wish for lot's of laughter not tear's
for I spent a lot of time crying this year,
I don’t want war and I wish for peace
I just want everyone to feel at ease,
I wish for children to feel free to play
and feel the sun on their face on a warm sunny day,
I wish for my angel's in heaven now
that they will let me know their around somehow,
Just something small to let me know they are near
keeping me calm when I feel a sadness or fear,
Another year is about to start
but my angel's will live forever right here in my heart.

As we draw to the end of another year,
We think of the ones that we hold so dear,
We pause to give thanks for our friends so true,
And ask God to bless them, the old and new.
We hold up each loved one before His Throne
And ask Him to comfort the ones alone,
For those who have lost someone they hold dear,
We ask Him to strengthen and hold them near.
For those who have prospered, with new joys to savour,
We ask God continues to show them His favour.

The nights are getting longer, the sun is barely here
The weather is cold and frosty so Christmas must be near
Twinkling lights will start appearing, Holly and Tinsel here and there
Santa Wish Lists will be written by excited children everywhere
Our Christmas Day will be filled with memories, with sadness and with tears, with remembering Happy Christmas's spent together in previous years
It's Christmas time without you, so it will not be Happy and Jolly Just very empty, sad and blue
But deep down I know you'll be with me, I will feel your presence when I am blue, I will smile when I remember some silly times, and the twinkling eyes that were uniquely you
So, I am not looking forward to this Christmas, I know the happy moments will be few, but I know it is something I have to live through... Christmas without you!
